She was forced to marry Tian Abao, a minor from a powerful family in order to protect the interests of the village. When the wedding was approaching, Duo fell in love with Long, a sailor of Hakka ethnic group, at first sight. Duo’s mother told her to prefer death to the marriage with a man of Hakka ethnic group, so Duo pridefully and unruly ridiculed and teased Long so as to discourage him from courting her. Long, who was passionately in love, gradually won the trust and love of Duo with sincerity.

When the bridegroom went to the Duo’s home to escort her back to the wedding, Long risked his life to take Duo back like a flying moth darting into the fire. Duo was deeply moved by the love of Long, and they proved the invincibility of true love at the expense of their lives...
