　　本片以神农架自然领地为着眼点，以时间流转、季节更替为脉络，纪录了神农架山区、林区、水域在不同季节展现出的自然景致，以及在此生活的不同生物于差异的自然环境与多变的气候下物竞天择、顽强生长，显现出的强大生命力和丰富有趣的生活画卷。本片捕捉到了众多常人少见的自然景观，以及金丝猴、大鲵、梅花鹿、冷杉等珍惜动植物的野生画面，是神农架自然保护区设立以来珍贵的一次影像纪录。本片也将人类视为自然世界的一种独特生物，纪录了人类在神农架的有限活动，昭示了人类从开辟自然到维护自然的努力，及人与环境休戚与共、和谐共生的事实。全片以季节更替为顺序，纪录了获得世界自然遗产、世界地质公园、联合国人和生活圈保护区殊荣，并成为国家第一批国家公园神农架绝美的自然奇观。

　　The documentary shows splendid natural scenery of mountains, forests and waters in Shennongjia National Natural Reserve in different seasons and puts a spotlight on vigorous and interesting wildlife species trying to survive and thrive in the ever-changing natural environment. It captures rarely seen natural landscape, precious wildlife species like snub-nosed monkey, Chinese giant salamander, sika deer and fir, as well as limited activities of human beings (unique creatures in the nature) in the region, underling the efforts of humans to exploit and conserve natural resources and the significance of maintaining harmony between humans and nature. The documentary, consisting of 4 episodes (Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn), records splendid natural wonders in the Shennongjia National Natural Reserve which is recognized as a Natural World Heritage Site, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, a UNESCO Global Geopark, and one of China's first national parks.
