连续7年每年减贫1000万人以上，贫困人口自2012年底的9899万人减少到2019年底的551万人，贫困发生率由10.2%降至0.6……中国在脱贫攻坚领域取得了前所未有的成就。
在宜昌，“扶志向强动力、扶文化强素质、扶文明强精神、扶生态强后劲”——农村精神扶贫“四扶四强”专项行动，激发了农民脱贫致富的内生动力，走出了一条精神扶贫的新路。
截止目前，宜昌尚有4000多名扶贫干部常年驻守一线。本片主角高万红就是这样一名扶贫干部，也是宜昌“四扶四强”农村精神扶贫品牌的创建者之一。
本片采用自述的方式，以主人公高万红的视角，将镜头对准扶贫一线，生动还原故事场景，真实展现“四扶四强”工作和成效：体验许家冲的民风民情，探寻文明的种子在村民心里生根发芽背后的原因;回望致富能人向东海催人奋进的历程，讲述懒汉蜕变成脱贫“典范”的传奇故事;翻开照耀村的“脱贫史”和“致富经”，验证了“扶贫先扶智，富民先富脑”的成功;生态小公民教育和绿色发展理念的传递，强调 “富口袋、富脑袋、富万代”。

The short video Lao Gao's Diary of Poverty Alleviation adopts first person narration. From the perspective of the leading character Gao Wanhong, the camera is focused on the frontline of poverty alleviation to vividly restore the storylines and truly reflect the work and effectiveness of “Poverty Alleviation and Development in Four Major Aspects”. The video presents experiences in the folk customs of Xujiachong Village and explored the reasons behind the conception of civilization taking root in the hearts of the villagers. It looks back at the course of achieving prosperity in which people are inspired to seek fortune in the East China Sea region, a legendary story about lazy people turning into "models" of poverty alleviation. It also reviews the "history of getting rid of poverty" and "achieving prosperity" in Zhaoyao Village, which proves that, in terms of poverty alleviation, it is more important to teach people skills and knowledge than to offer them financial support directly. The video also includes ecological education to children and the concept of green development, which emphasize on financial prosperity, intelligence and sustainable development.
