　　《新万家灯火》是以“全国文明社区示范点”武汉百步亭为原型，创作的一部反映当代都市社区居民居社区、爱社区，实践中国特色社区生活梦的都市生活剧。

　　本剧故事正是由此切入——男主人公罗子哥，引领着一条小区安保叙事线;女主人公冯小夏，引领着一条小区居委会叙事线，在这两条互为融合、冲突的叙事线左右，穿插着社区老年人诙谐多彩的夕阳故事，年轻人勤勉创业的朝阳故事……，以及若干都市热点话题，如居民权益、邻里纠纷、空巢老人、留守儿童、大龄男女、弱势群体、非物质文化保护，刑释人员回归等。故事温情、暖心、喜感，传递健康向上的主流价值观。

　　Yangtze Town's Springtime is a TV series based on Wuhan's Baibuting, a national model community, reflecting that contemporary urban residents live in the community, care for the community, and live the dream of community life with Chinese characteristics.

　　It follows two narrative threads: community security, led by the hero Luo Zige; and neighborhood committee, led by the heroine Feng Xiaoxia. Interspersed in these two mutually fused and conflicting narrative threads are witty, colorful stories of the elderly in the community, the stories of vigorous young people's industrious entrepreneurship, and some city-related hot topics, such as residents' rights and interests, disputes between neighbors, empty nesters, left-behind children, the singles in old age, vulnerable groups, the protection of intangible cultural heritage, and the reintegration of ex-prisoners into society. The storyline of the series is heart-warming in an upbeat note, conveying positive mainstream values.
