为生动呈现神农架国家公园的生物多样性，系列微纪录片《神农架密码》以讲故事的形式，通过拟人手法，用精美的画面、精彩的故事讲述了神农架金丝猴、中华蜜蜂、亚高山泥炭藓等三种神农架独特物种的特征、习性及生物多样性价值。
《“萌宝”的吃喝玩乐》：通过拍摄幼年金丝猴的吃喝玩乐，以及哺育抚养中的“阿姨”行为，反映川金丝猴这个群体的生活习性和社会结构，体现金丝猴与神农架其它生物和谐共生的关系。
《神农架不能没有我》：神农架为中华小蜜蜂提供了丰富的食源，但小蜜蜂却面临一系列生存危机——地盘被占、食物被偷、工蜂被害。本片讲述它们在化解一系列的生存危机后，为神农架生物多样性做出了杰出贡献。
《大九湖的小“藓”肉》：泥炭藓不仅为神农架大九湖铺上了一层厚厚的蓄水草甸，还为大九湖水源涵养做出重要贡献。大九湖数万年水位不竭的奥秘就“锁”在泥炭藓的体内，这些小“藓”肉为栖息在神农架的动物们提供了洁净的水源。
该片形式上采取微纪录片的样式，每集5—6分钟，篇幅虽短，每一帧都十分精彩;叙事上以讲故事来带出物种的特点习性和社会结构，在故事讲述中做好科普。适应融媒体传播的需求，短小精悍，生动活泼。
The mini documentary combines beautiful scenes, wonderful stories and personification technique to vividly describe the features and habits of snub-nosed monkey, apis cerana and subalpine sphagnum which are unique to Shennongjia National Park, highlighting the species richness in the region and reiterating the value of biodiversity.
A Good Time of Adorable Baby Monkeys: The episode captures baby snub-nosed monkeys enjoying themselves with feasting and all kinds of entertainment and the behavior of “allonursing” among females. It shows living habits and the social structure of monkeys and highlights the harmony between snub-nosed monkeys and other wildlife species in the region.
Honey Bees Indispensable to Shennongjia: Living in Shennongjia National Park, apis cerana never needs to worry about food, but they still have to watch out for robbers and plunders threatening the safety of their homes and worker bees. The episode highlights great contributions made by adorable honey bees, who have lived through various crises, to biodiversity in Shennongjia National Park.
Sphagnum in Dajiu Lake: Thick clumps of sphagnum not only help retain water, but also contribute a lot to water source conservation in Dajiu Lake in Shennongjia National Park. It is sphagnum that makes water resources of Dajiu Lake inexhaustible over tens of thousands of years and purifies water for animals living in the region.
The mini documentary consists of three short but excellent episodes lasting 5 to 6 minutes. Terse, forceful and vivid stories are told to impart scientific knowledge about features, habits and social structure of wildlife species, keeping up with converged media communication.
