“陶行知学文库”对改革开放以来的陶行知研究成果进行了系统梳理与回顾总结，在整合以往出版的陶行知研究著作的基础上融入新时代陶行知研究成果，试图建立完整的陶行知学研究体系。
“陶行知学文库”先期推出十卷。具有以下特点：
(一)内容涵盖全面。文库所选著作、论集不仅包括陶行知本人的研究成果，还涵盖了知研究团队对陶行知研究的成果。
(二)研究角度广泛。文库所选既有从大背景入手，整体研究陶行知的著作，也有就陶行知某一学说进行专门而深入研究的著作;既有对陶行知以及国内同时代教育家进行共性研究的著作，也有对陶行知和国外教育思想家进行系统梳理和比较研究的著作;还有研究陶行知与中外文化教育、与中国现代文化关系的著作，以及用全新视野考察陶行知日常生活世界，着力构建陶行知传统知识分子形象的著作。
(三)理论探索深入。文库深入研究了陶行知的人生，陶行知的教育理论、思想、实践，陶行知对中国现代文化的开拓与创新，陶行知与中外文化教育发展的关系，开辟了教育家研究的新视角，并在人物研究方法论上作了新探索，综合构建了陶行知研究体系。
Studies on Tao Xingzhi systematically combs and retrospects the research result of Tao Xingzhi since the reform and opening-up. Based on the previous researches, the series combines the research results of the new era, and aims to establish a comprehensive research system of studies of Tao Xingzhi.
The series has published 10 volumes at first and has the following features:
1.Comprehensiveness. The works from the series include not only the research of Tao Xingzhi himself, but also the research results of Tao Xingzhi by the team.
2.Various perspectives. Some of the works from the series start from the background, and want to have a general study of Tao Xingzhi; others concentrate on some specific theory of Tao Xingzhi and deepen the study. Some have a synchronic study on Tao Xingzhi and domestic contemporary educators; others compare and contrast Tao Xingzhi and foreign educational thinkers. Some study the relationship between Tao Xingzhi and chinese and foreign cultural education, and still others carry out the research from a total new perspective, delve into the common life of Tao Xingzhi , and hope to construct the image of Tao Xingzhi as the traditional intellectuals.
3.Profound theoretic exploration. The series conduct a deep research into Tao Xingzhi’s life, educational theory, thinking, and practice, his exploiting and creation of Chinese modern culture, his relationship with the cultural development of both China and foreign countries, open up a new perspective to investigate educators and establish the research system of Tao Xingzhi study.
