襄阳广播电视台是市直公益二类事业单位，2010年4月，由原襄樊人民广播电台、襄樊电视台和襄樊有线网络中心合并组建而成。拥有广播、电视、网络、报纸、户外中小屏、“两微一端”等多种媒体资源,是全市最重要的思想文化阵地和襄阳公众获取信息的主要渠道。

　　襄阳广播电视台现有3个电视频道、3套广播频率，节目覆盖襄阳及周边1000多万人口。其中：

　　综合频道以12%的平均收视份额在全国城市台中排名14位，成为内陆地区唯一进入全国超强地面频道行列的电视频道。

　　广播在华中、西南片区城市电台排名TOP5;FM89.0襄阳交通音乐广播在城市电台交通频率中排名TOP6;M104襄阳综合广播在城市电台新闻频率中排名TOP9。

　　新媒体矩阵粉丝总量超700万，云上襄阳APP阅读指数、用户活跃指数、用户增长指数和发稿量均稳居全省120个云上系列客户端首位，新媒体综合影响力居全省市州第一名。

　　Xiangyang Radio and Television Station is a second-class public welfare institution directly under the municipal government.
