宜昌三峡融媒体中心(集团)于 2022 年 4 月由三峡日报社和宜昌三峡广播电视台整合成立，是全国首批地市媒体深度融合国家级试点之一。中心在职员工 772 人，运营媒体包括 2 份报纸、3 份期刊、2 个电视频道、3 个广播频率、3 个移动客户端、4 个核心网站、12 个央媒互联网平台媒体账号和垂直媒体账号、1 家手机报和 1 家出版社。中心主要媒体均进驻重点央媒互联网平台，传统媒体与新媒体受众数量突破 2000 万。
立足市级媒体融合发展总体目标 ：着力打造全省领先、全国一流的地市级新型传播平台、国家文化和科技融合示范基地、全国地市媒体中具有核心竞争力的新型传媒企业，中心(集团)深入推进融合共建，建设多元化传播渠道，打造特色鲜明、覆盖广泛、立体快捷的全媒体传播矩阵，重点指标跃居全省地市前列。组建国际传播工作室，建设宜昌市官方英文网站和海外社交媒体账号矩阵，对外传播能力和水平显著提升。中心各媒体在人民日报、新华社、央视等中省主流媒体年发稿突破 5000 篇次。 2022 年，中心(集团) 2 件新闻作品分获中国新闻奖一、二等奖，2 个项目获全国媒体融合发展创新案例，获奖层次、奖项位居全省地市媒体首位，创下全国地市媒体最新纪录。
Yichang Three Gorges Media Center (Group) was established in April 2022 through the merger of Three Gorges Daily and Yichang Three Gorges Radio and Television Station. It is one of China’s first pilot multimedia convergence projects at the prefecture level. The Center has 772 staff members and owns various types of media outlets, including 2 newspapers, 3 magazines, 2 television channels, 3 radio frequencies, 3 mobile applications, 4 major websites, 12 accounts on Chinese central-level media platforms, 1 mobile newspaper, and 1 publishing house. The Center's leading media titles have all opened media accounts on central-level media platforms. The Center reaches a total audience of 20 million across traditional and new media formats.
Based on the overall goal of municipal media integration development, the Center (Group) strives to build a leading provincial and national first-class prefecture-level new communication platform, a national demonstration base for the integration of culture and technology, and a new media enterprise with core competitiveness among prefecture-level media in China. It further promotes integration and coconstruction, builds diversified communication channels, and creates a three-dimensional and fast all-media communication matrix with distinctive characteristics and wide coverage, with key indicators ranking among the top in the province's prefecture-level cities. It has established an international communication studio and developed Yichang's official English website and overseas social media accounts, significantly enhancing its external communication capability and level. The media outlets of the Center published more than 5,000 articles annually in mainstream central and provincial media such as People's Daily, Xinhua News Agency, and CCTV. In 2022, two news works from the Center (Group) respectively won first and second prizes of the China News Awards, along with two projects being recognized as innovative cases in national media integration development. The award level and ranking achieved by the Center surpassed that of any other provincial-level media, setting a new record for prefecture-level media nationwide.
